Share topic for the month of October: All things fall….pumpkins, leaves, apples, bats and spiders. Please label and send to school on Tuesday, October 1st.
Homework:
Our science lab on Tuesday, October 1st will be on sink/float. Please send in one item that your child thinks will sink labeled in a Ziploc bag SINK and one item your child thinks will float labeled in a Ziploc bag FLOAT. Please make sure your child’s name is on both bags.
- Practice writing the “tricky teens” in random order.
- Continue to practice all letter sounds.
Skills:
· We will begin to study apples, pumpkins, bats, and spiders.
· We continue to blend and sound out words. We are working on three letter short vowel words and using our words to make sentences in journal writing.
Reminders:
· Friday, Oct. 11th: Field trip to Twin Oaks- students can wear jeans and red uniform shirt
· Monday, October 14th and Tuesday, October 15th: Columbus Day/Student Holidays
· Tuesday, October 29th: Hoe Down Day (early dismissal 11:45) and Fall Festival
· Wednesday, October 30th : Early dismissal (11:45) Parent/Teacher Conferences
