Week of March 16th-20th

Homework: 

Keep practicing reading short vowel words—we want to start moving from your child sounding out each letter to reading these words more fluently!

Keep reviewing the sight words we have learned so far this year.

Skills:

• Writing sentences and adding more details to our writing and illustrations
• Number stories, addition, and subtraction

Reminders:

.      Friday, March 13th is a dress down day for Salvation Army.  Bring a $1 and wear jeans.

.      Tuesday, March 17th- Students can wear GREEN for St. Patrick’s Day!

·      Monday, March 23rd-Friday, March 27th  Book Fair: You may accompany your child to the book fair before or after school.  

·      Thursday, March 26th:  Grandparent’s Day Dress Rehearsal. -TBD- Parents are welcome!

·      Friday, March 27th:  Grandparent’s Day Program (Early dismissal 11:50).  Students will wear Sunday church dress clothes. Children will return to the classroom after the program.  Please tell Grandparents to come by the classroom after the performance to visit.  If Grandparents are going to the second performance (3rd-5th), students are to stay in the classroom because of limited seating.  Grandparents may pick them up after the second performance.  

·      March 30th-April 3rd -  Spring Break!!

Wednesday, April 8th - Easter Egg Hunt (make-up date is April 9th)

Friday, April 10th - Good Friday - No School

Friday, May 1st  - Atlanta Zoo Trip - Every child must have an adult with him/her.
